Terms and Conditions of Booking

We want to make sure that your experience with Muslim Family Adventures is as enjoyable and stress-free as possible. To help with this, we've put together a few terms and conditions of booking that we'd like to bring to your attention:

  1. To ensure everyone's comfort and safety, we ask that the total number of guests in a booking doesn't exceed the total number of beds booked (unless a child aged 5 or under is sharing with a sibling or parent). Any exceptions to this rule will be handled on a case-by-case basis and must be agreed upon with MFA in advance when booking.

  2. We're all about good vibes and positive energy! So, we kindly ask that guests follow Islamic guidance on good character, behaviour, and decency throughout the adventure, especially when interacting with other guests and organizers. We don't tolerate any misbehaviour, including abuse, disrespect, or violence. This also includes behaviour that could cause harm to others or bring disrepute to MFA, such as using foul language, smoking (including e-cigarettes), or wearing indecent clothing. Adult guests are responsible for the behaviour of children under their care, and must ensure that children accompanying them adhere to these standards. If anyone doesn't comply with these standards, they may be asked to leave the adventure without being offered a refund. We're all about maintaining the Muslim family ethos of MFA!

  3. We ask that guests take care not to damage any property or endanger anyone. Guests are required to pay for any damage (accidental or otherwise) caused to the property.

  4. Adventure activities are optional, and guests participate at their own risk, whether by themselves, in a group, or with third-party licensed activity providers. Guests are fully responsible for themselves and their families while engaging in activities during the adventure. MFA doesn't hold any license to run instructor-led adventure activities. Where applicable, MFA will use licensed third-party activity providers for instructor-led adventure activities who may have their additional terms and conditions. MFA's role is to suggest, recommend, and facilitate activities for guests and their families. Guests must take full responsibility for themselves and their families and must be aware of the risks associated with participating in those activities, including those activities done as a group.

  5. Bookings are confirmed only when full payment is made. Any provisional booking may be cancelled by MFA without notice. Any deposits paid to reserve an adventure may be forfeited if the booking is not fully paid and confirmed by the due date. The due date is 8 weeks (56 days) before the adventure start date, unless specified otherwise.

  6. We recognise that circumstances can change, so we've outlined the following refund policy:

    1. Cancellation 56 days (8 weeks) or more before the adventure start date:

    - You are entitled to a full refund, minus the £97 non-refundable reservation deposit.

    2. Cancellation between 28 days (4 weeks) and 55 days before the adventure start date:

    - You are entitled to a 50% refund of the full amount, minus the £97 non-refundable reservation deposit.

    3. Cancellation less than 27 days before the adventure start date:

    - You are not entitled to a refund. However, as a gesture of goodwill, we can transfer 50% of the full amount (excluding the £97 non-refundable reservation deposit) to a future adventure.

  7. If an adventure is cancelled by MFA, due to unforeseen circumstances, the adventure payment will be transferred to a future adventure or fully refunded. Adventures are not cancelled due to adverse weather conditions.

  8. If a family or individual cannot attend a booking for any reason, they may choose to cancel the booking (see refund policy above) or transfer their booking via MFA to another family or individual they can find. It is their responsibility to find a replacement. Where possible, MFA may help in finding a replacement, but this is a goodwill gesture and no promises can be made in finding replacement.

  9. Photography and filming is part of the adventure. Photographs and videos will be shared with the adventure members for memory. They may also be used on the MFA website, social media channels, and publicity material to share the vision of MFA and to help market the adventures. Videos and photographs are perhaps the best and the only way to help promote the work of MFA. If a guest would like to opt-out of photography and filming, they must please let MFA know in advance.

  10. MFA adventures are offered in hostel accommodation as per standard outdoor adventures. MFA does not provide hotel accommodation, and guests must be prepared for experiencing living in accommodation which is designed for those with an outdoor adventure spirit.

  11. Guests cannot bring or invite others who are not booked for the adventure to join any part of the adventure.

  12. We ask that guests keep the place clean and tidy at all times. Guests, leaders, and organizers work as a team to maintain a caring and positive environment for everyone.

  13. If a guest has any concerns or complaints, they must bring them to the attention of the adventure leader immediately. The adventure leader will take necessary steps to resolve any issues to the best of their ability.

Thanks for taking the time to read through these terms and conditions. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation!
