Join us for an unforgettable journey through the breathtaking landscapes of Scotland on our Scottish Highlands & Isles Adventure Retreat. Based in a stunning seafront location in Oban, this family-friendly retreat will explore some of the most spectacular places in the Highlands and Inner Hebrides, including Glencoe, Fort William, Loch Lomond, the Firth of Lorne, the Isle of Mull, the Isle of Kerrera, and the Isle of Skye. Through exploration, reflection, communal worship, outdoor adventure, and meaningful conversations, families will have the opportunity to reconnect with nature, strengthen relationships, and deepen their appreciation of Allah’s magnificent creation amidst some of the most dramatic scenery in the British Isles.

Our base for the retreat is the beautifully situated Oban Youth Hostel, perched on the seafront with spectacular views across Oban Bay and the islands beyond. Just a short walk from the town centre and ferry terminal, the hostel provides comfortable accommodation in one of Scotland’s most picturesque coastal settings. With panoramic views of the sea, nearby mountains, and passing ferries, it offers the perfect base from which to explore the Highlands and Inner Hebrides. Whether gathering for meals, reflecting together after a day of adventure, or simply watching the sunset over the water, the hostel provides a welcoming and memorable setting for families to connect with each other and with the natural beauty of Allah’s creation.

Planned Programme
The Scottish Highlands & Isles Adventure Retreat will take families on a journey through some of the most spectacular landscapes in the British Isles. From our base in Oban, we hope to explore Oban and the Firth of Lorne, Glencoe, Fort William, Ben Nevis, Inverness, Loch Ness, Loch Lomond, the Inner Hebrides, the Isle of Mull, the Isle of Kerrera, and the Isle of Skye. As with all Muslim Family Adventures retreats, the programme combines exploration, reflection, family connection, outdoor adventure, communal prayers, discussions, and opportunities to appreciate the signs of Allah in His creation. Whether standing beneath towering mountains, crossing to remote islands, discovering ancient landscapes, or sharing moments of contemplation by lochs and coastlines, families will be invited to deepen their connection with Allah, strengthen their relationships, and experience the wonder of His creation together.
Food Arrangement
Families may opt into our Communal Food Arrangement (£49 per person), which is designed to make the retreat more enjoyable, convenient, and social. Participants will work together to prepare and share hearty breakfasts, packed lunches for the day’s adventures, and themed evening dinners inspired by different cuisines and cultures. Beyond simply providing meals, the communal food arrangement is an important part of the Muslim Family Adventures experience, creating opportunities for families to serve one another, learn new skills, build friendships, and gather around the table in a spirit of gratitude and companionship. Sharing food together often becomes one of the most memorable aspects of the retreat, strengthening the sense of community that makes these adventures so special.
