Peak District Love & Kindness Expedition 2026

Join us for a special gathering in the heart of the Peak District, based at the beautiful YHA Ravenstor, created for Muslims seeking marriage in a halal, natural, and relaxed setting. Inspired by the Qur’anic reminder that Allah places love and kindness between spouses, this expedition is about creating the right environment for meaningful connection to grow — through shared experiences, time in nature, praying together, workshops, and gentle Qur’an-based reflections and reminders throughout the weekend.

Another of His signs is that He created spouses from among yourselves for you to live with in tranquillity: He ordained love and kindness between you. There truly are signs in this for those who reflect.
— Qur’an 30:21

The expedition is offered in two formats to suit different needs.

  • The Full Expedition runs from Friday evening to Sunday afternoon, allowing participants to immerse themselves fully in the experience.

  • For those unable to join the entire weekend, the Part Expedition (Saturday Day Visit) offers the heart of the programme — outdoor activities, workshops, communal meals, and opportunities to meet others — all within a single, focused day.

At its heart, this expedition is a space for deep learning and self-discovery. Attending offers participants the opportunity to learn profoundly about themselves, marriage, and family life — making it a valuable pre-marital experience, as well as a source of reflection and renewal for those who are already married and attending with their families. Through nature, shared living, workshops, and prayer, participants are encouraged to reflect on character, intention, responsibility, and what it truly means to build a home grounded in love, patience, and gratitude.

Why This Matters for Marriage

Marriage is built on character, self-awareness, and the ability to live and grow with others — not just compatibility on paper. This expedition creates space to learn about yourself, to reflect on what it means to build a family, and to experience community life in a real, grounded way. Through shared activities, prayer, workshops, and time in nature, participants gain insight, maturity, and clarity that support marriage well beyond this weekend. For many, this becomes an important step in their wider journey towards marriage and family, whether or not a match is found immediately.

At the heart of the expedition are three interwoven aspects.

  • First, we spend time outdoors in nature as a community, walking and reflecting together in the valleys and trails of the Peak District, allowing hearts to soften and conversations to flow.

  • Second, we take part in workshops and activities focused on self-discovery and relationship readiness, encouraging humility, patience, gratitude, and honest reflection on character, intention, and responsibility.

  • Third, the weekend is intentionally designed to create genuine opportunities to meet potential suitors — not through forced interactions, but in an environment that feels human, respectful, and real, where character shows itself gently and connections are rooted in faith, love, and kindness.

Why Families Are Welcome

Marriage does not exist in isolation — it grows within families and communities. Welcoming parents, siblings, and relatives helps create a supportive, grounded environment where relationships are approached with sincerity, care, and perspective. Families bring wisdom, warmth, and stability to the space, while also benefiting from shared time in nature, reflection, and learning together. Their presence supports a healthier approach to marriage, rooted in connection, trust, and community, rather than pressure or haste.

The entire weekend is facilitated by Aisha Jasuleviciute (Aisha’s Sukūn) and Faisal Khaffar (MFA). Aisha is a marriage and relationship coach known for her work on sakīnah (tranquillity), emotional readiness, and inner calm, helping individuals approach marriage with clarity and presence. Alongside group workshops, marriage-seeking participants also have the opportunity for private 1-to-1 consultations, offering a confidential space for reflection, guidance, and support.

The expedition also forms part of a longer-term journey. Muslim Family Adventures is intentionally building a trusted community and database of individuals seeking marriage, grounded in real-life interaction rather than profiles alone. A key part of this approach is that participants have attended an MFA expedition, allowing us to get to know people through shared experiences, character in action, and community life. Even if someone does not find a potential match during this particular expedition, attending becomes a meaningful stepping stone in their journey towards marriage and family.

Why Community Matters

Marriage is strengthened when it grows within a community of care, accountability, and shared values. Being part of a wider community allows individuals to be seen, supported, and understood beyond first impressions, and helps relationships develop with patience and sincerity. Through shared experiences, service, prayer, and time together, community creates a sense of belonging that supports healthier marriages and families — rooted not just in connection between two people, but in a network of trust, faith, and mutual responsibility.

Whether joining the Full Expedition or the Part Expedition, this is a thoughtfully facilitated, heart-centred experience where those seeking marriage — alongside friends and family — can grow, connect, and move forward with greater clarity, sincerity, and trust in Allah, grounded in love, kindness, and tranquillity.

Accommodation

The Full Expedition is based at YHA Ravenstor, a peaceful countryside hostel perched above Millers Dale, offering some of the most beautiful views in the Peak District. Surrounded by rolling hills and limestone valleys, it’s a setting that naturally encourages calm, reflection, and meaningful conversation — an ideal environment for a heart-centred matrimonial experience.

Accommodation is simple, comfortable, and thoughtfully arranged, with shared rooms for brothers and sisters, as well as family rooms for those attending with their families (subject to availability). The hostel’s welcoming communal spaces are where much of the weekend unfolds — from cooking and shared meals to prayer, workshops, reflections, and relaxed conversation.

For the duration of the expedition, the centre will be reserved exclusively for our group, giving everyone the space, privacy, and ease to fully engage in the programme and enjoy time together without distraction.

(Please note: Part Expedition (Saturday Day Visit) participants do not stay overnight but are fully included in the Saturday programme and activities.)
